Getting from Gatwick to Heathrow

National Express coaches run from London's Gatwick Airport to Heathrow Airport. The coach trip takes some 85 minutes, depending on traffic, and stops at Heathrow's terminal 5 and then the other terminals (1,2,3 & 4).

The coaches are situated on the second floor of Gatwick's South Terminal building (see photo below), and the tickets can also be purchased there (on 30 Sep 2008 a one-way single ticket from Gatwick to Heathrow cost 19.50 pounds). These two gents in the photo of the coach stop aren't deterred by the numerous no-smoking signs.

There is a signboard showing the departure times of the coaches:

The National Express coach has a little bit more legroom than most aircraft economy class seats.

The toilet on the other hand is very cramped.
